As much as I love my .357 I can't afford to shoot it at the range as much as I'd like.  Is converting it to .22LR as simple as changing the cylinder and barrel?  I read another post that CZ will only ship cylinders to FFLs so I'll ask my local gunshop to order it for me.

The biggest problem you will run into is that the barrels only thread into the appropriate frames, each has a different thread size so you cannot accidently put the wrong barrel in the wrong frame.

I'm not sure you would be able to convert to a .22LR because I don't believe the firing pin would strike in the correct location.

You might consider reloading; for a small initial investment you can load 38/357's for not much more than 22's.  Check out Lee kits and check their site for blemished item discounts.  My 357 started me on reloading and with casting and moderate loads I got several reloads out of my brass before I had to disguard.  The 38 and 357 brass is also the cheapest and usually can be found left on many ranges.  I probably have several hundred brass, even though I now have a 357max and no longer use the shorter brass.  I couldn't even sell it on Ebay when they allowed it, because it's so cheap to get.

Sounds like a compelling reason to buy another Dan Wesson!

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

My first DW round shooter is a blued .41 mag. (Monson mfg.).

It "longed" for a little brother

I acquired a .22 LR ....... (Monson gun)
