I own a 8in vh 44 and I have been wanting a 357 pack since the first day I saw it.  Should I go with the VH or the regular. I was hoping for some insight. Lets say there about the same price and condition. Is one more valuable, more common, more reliable easier to install and maintain? I assume the vh's are easier to shoot with the extra weight but there arent many dans around for me to check out here so any help is awesome. I want to play with this dan frequently.  What one would you pick and why?

Personal preference is so subjective...screwy

The reason, for me, to get number 1  drool  is that I already own number 2 ! big-grincool

Choice will be difficult till you get them all .  It's called dwas

As you need to start somewhere, I vote for number 1  goodluck

Yes I want them both and I prefer the VH, but that is just me. I will note on pack #1 the 2.5 shroud is incorrect for the pack. A 2.5 VH will be square at the muzzle. Then again one can build their pac any way they want. That is the beauty of the DW system. Good luck on the hunt.

This is all pretty subjective, but if I were buying a Pack, with the plan that everything matches, I'd get the VH, it is a really beautiful looking set.

I think a 15-2/715 4VH is the sweetest shooting gun there is. Longer than 4", I don't care for the extra weight, but again, that is a very personal choice.

FYI- probably the rarest normal production Pack would be in "H" style, heavy underlug, no vent rib.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

+1 on the Vent Heavy, just because it's just plain cool !

But hey, if your log-in name indicates your career choice you

should be able to afford both LOL.

So I bid on Pic 1 it went to 800 then i gave up. Waited until yesterday and got this for 609Image Enlarger

The guy said "I bought this gun for my wife in 1985, because she said it was "pretty"! She put less than 100 rounds thru it when she decided it was too much gun for her! Lol.." Now to start looking for a four inch barrel. occasion *Edit and an original case and a belt buckle and a patch.

Very nice, you got a great start there for building your own pac, nice price for everything your getting. Nice striped grip, I bet that pistol is like new!

The whole white shag carpet look makes it look a little too "disco", but you are a 4 VH B/A and a quick trip to the fabric store away from a nice Pack.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
