If the screw is not suck in the stud and you can get a tap, strip the gun down and run a tap through the stud to clean up the threads and get a new screw. Someone else here will need to confirm the thread but I believe it is a 10/32. If that doesn't work then on to plan B. Shouldn't be too big of a deal to fix.

I lucked out and was able to get the tap into the insert and retap it . Come to find out the first 2-3 threads were bad anyway. So I was able to get it past that piont and finish the job. Works fine now but I think I will order a new insert just to have one on hand.
I tried to find a new allen head bolt at the local hardware store, and this store has everything, and they of course had them but the head was smaller. So I decided not to get it. Ask DW or EWK I presume?

DW has them, Eric might, and a highly respected gripmaker that I know will often just use a standard slotted screw of the correct size. If you go the DW route, shipping is the same if you get a couple extras, and maybe a spring kit too.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
