I contacted EWK about a custom .41 mag bbl but he indicated he didn't have the tooling to make it. I have a good friend who is a gunsmith and we are going to turn one from a Douglas Premium blank. He builds long range rigs so no doubt tooling a 6" that will fit a DW is not an issue. I want to shoot cast heavies only out of this bbl and am thinking a 1 in 14 from my reading. What do you guys think? Also how many might be interested in this if we get it going for those that EWK does not make? HIs prices are very reasonable and nowhere near DW prices. Plus the wait time will be negligible.

Barrel length would be your choice. We are still working on a price. I have a 6 and 8 we are going to make. Sorry for the time lapse. Early no response so I haven't checked in a while. My guess is bbl price will be very close to Ewk prices maybe a little more because of stainless.

Greetings
Have been bugging EWK about the 41 Fast Twist barrels also.
Once my 41 DW gets into 275+ grains it does not keep to it's fine accuracy capabilities unless I keep the FPS above 1200. That really is no issue but I was trying to get a 300 grainer at about 950 fps for thumping medium critters out to 100 yards. The accuracy past 60 yards or so really starts going outside my desires.
Probably a 1-16 would be adequet. The 1-18.5 DW twist is fine for all other applications I have tried except the under mag loads of the very long (280+) cast things that I seem to play with. But a 265 grainer GC or PB does fine out to 100 at that 950 fps.
A 1-14 twist should be good for 320+ but that is getting to be a bit long in a 41 case unless seated out to cylinder face. Now in the 414SM we have a whole new ballgame !
