Sorry to hear that. What a range day fun day killer!

Personally, I've never used locktite on any of my firearms. It can be kind of an almost irrevocable move. Before going full bore locktite, try a little clear nail polish.

To the paranoid people who check behind shower curtains for murderers:

It did ruin a good range day. I was only 12 rounds in when it happened. :(

Good idea with the nail polish, though. I think I will try that first.

Have you all had mostly positive experiences with EWK?

The BLUE Loctite is fine - it's the medium-strength and removable.  The standard grade in blue is 242.

I agree with harly, we use it in my job on things that have to come back apart, but need to stay tight. Alto, I wouldn't use it on the barrel nut.
