So how much wiggle (rotational) is too much? I have a .445 SM that locks up dead tight and doesn't move. My .357 SM is a little looser and it wiggles (rotational, no front to back movement) but doesn't seem like I should be concerned. Timing looks good on all cylinders. Is there a measurement standard? If it does wiggle too much, where do I start in the "fixing" process?

The rotational "wiggle" varies from revolver to revolver, even in new or barely fired guns. It's probably ok but if it really bothers you, you can start with the bolt. If it's loose in the frame you can you can try punching a dimple in it where it rides through the hold in the bottom of the frame. This will tighten it up - just be sure it still moves freely. If it is still loose and the play is between the bolt and the cylinder notch, you can try installing a new bolt.
