Dan Wesson built their name on finely crafted revolvers only to become another me-too 1911 manufacturer. So very disappointing.
I'll admit their 1911 pistols have earned a good reputation, and I do own one of the (pre CZ) low-end (Panther) models. But I would prefer they dont sacrifice the revolver line to up production of the 1911 models.
I guess I'm one of the remaining hold outs since I don't have a 1911. I guess at heart I'm a revolver guy. Although I do like Ruger MKII 22 pistols. I have read really good things about the line of DW 1911s however I believe if they would have offered more caliber choices in revolvers they could have sold more.
Thought I would go ahead and add pictures of the Alaskan and SuperMag since this might be the last we see of them. I'm not sure the Alaskan is for me since I don't like how the front sight sits back from the porting.
Those are both sharp looking revolvers!!
Anybody have a picture of the 7445 VH4C??
One of these days, I'll be looking to pick up a .445 in 4 inch for carrying in Canada and Alaska. . . . .would be so much easier to make up my mind in I could see them in person.
7445 in Stainless or AGS Teflon. . . . . ??
Here are a few pictures I was able to round up on models that were offered shortly before CZ took over:

Hey Dave,
I did ask Genny about revolver production and she did inform me that currently they have suspended it. However she did say they're planning to start a custom shop later in the year and she made it sound as if revolvers would be available that way.
I think this would be great since before all they had listed was the 445 SuperMag. I personally would like one in a different caliber.
I'll put it on my calendar to email them every month or so to see where they are on the custom shop.
Anyway it's looking hopefully that we might be able to get a new DW revolver in the near future.
