Well after a day of waiting on the snow to quit, i made it out to the range today. Sadly it was a short trip, as i only had about 20 rnds of randoms the guy gave me with the gun, but nonetheless i got about a 3 1/2 inch group at approximately 40 yards on my last 6 shots after some scope tuning. I am very impressed! i feel that being unknown ammunition, few rounds to work with, and a relatively inexperienced pistol shooter ( as far as the precision marksmanship goes) i did decently well.
wal mart has remington white box type 125 gr soft point @28.96 for a box of 50. seems a bit steep to me, but i could be wrong. Nonetheless, i believe ill buy a box and try to make it back out tomorrow for some fine tuning. Nowhere around my area sells much FMJ ammo for just hitting the range
Pics next round for sure! Happy shooting

I burn through the 38's and when I can find the FMJ just to save money! Reduced power and remember to clean the cylinder really well if you run alot of 38's (get that pesky carbon ring out of there)! Hope some else pipes in on this though I wouldnt think you see much difference or any when useing to sight your Dan in!

I shoot lead .38's 99% of time. So I guess I am sighted in on that. For ranges less than 25 yards there should not be that much of a difference. ( though at 75 yards there IS pretty good drop compared to a .357.
If your inclined USA AMMO: http://www.usaammo.com has very good pricing on reload .38 and new .38. Both are jacketed ammo, in quality cases (starline).
