i just bought a 15-2 357 8" from the local gunshop for $249.00 . i honestly don't think they know anything about them because i bought a .22 6" dan wesson last year for $225.00 .
anyways my 15-2 has a screw behind the trigger in the frame that seems to be out pretty far. if i cock the hammer back and pull the trigger it almost doesnt go back far enough to set the gun off. My question is how much trigger travel should there be ? and is there a standard so many turns in on that screw ? thanks - Art

That is the trigger overtravel screw, and if it just allows the trigger to release consistently without additional travel, it is adjusted exactly right
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

i know right .
the wood grips on the .22 i just got and are damn near mint. i also got those at the same gunshop. i was at the cash register and i happen to look down at this old case they have and i barely saw the DW on the grip under the dust. i asked to look at it and knew right away what they went to. i asked how much , he said " a wood grip must be worth $20.00 " , i said SOLD !
im keeping my eye out for more dan wessons every time i go there !

They were using the Blue Book of Gun Values for their price list.
Good for you, Congrats
