Hi all, glad I've found this forum-I'm a collector mainly of .22 guns and for more than 15 yrs I have a DW revolver in .22, I bought it NIB, came in an attache case with four barrels,

and kept it unfired until some months ago-The case is that one day I took the complete set to the range and the precision of the gun, no matter which barrel you screwed in, was disastrous, I must add that I'm a good shot since school where I was Shooting Captain of the team-No matter how tight or loose the different barrelsFrownFrown were or which of the three brands of ammo loaded the thing on target was a mess-Can you give me a hint, or help in any way, I cant convince myself that this fine revolver is a POS-Tks a mill-Raúl

raul, Welcometo the DWF Sign. Too bad you are having accuracy problems but it does happen. Here are my thoughts. You changed barrels so that eliminates a bad barrel, you adjusted the cylinder gap so that must not be the problem either. 22's do tend to be picky about the ammo they like so you may need to try a few more types, but one of the 3 you tried should have been at least OK one would think. You could have a timing issue, have you noticed any lead shaving or any thing like that? I am sure others here will be along with more ideas soon. good luck and let us know how it works out.

If the gun was totally unfired before you shot it, then you may need to pick one barrel and run several rounds through it to break in the barrel, unusual in 22's but it does happen. another problem along the same lines is rough bores and firelapping with low velocity rounds rolled in polishing compound will solve that.  Run a tight patch down the bore and see if it runs smoothly or catches in a few places.  I had a problem with my 357SM til I firelapped the barrels and it shoots sub 1" groups from a rest now.  I got a kit from LBT( Lead Bullet Technologies) that had enough compound for several guns, I just casted some soft lead bullets in the various sizes and got low velocity 22's for my 22 guns. all shot better after lapping.  Welcome to the forum and I hope you find a solution for the gun as DW's are usually the most accurate revolvers out of the box.  Keep us informed of your progress.Post Pics
