No - a 22VH6 is not a rare gun.  The VH configurations in .22 don't come around as often as the .357, but they are by no means rare.  As always, price is largely determined by condition - you would have to specify the condition of the gun to determine market price.

.22 caliber Dans are rare enough that I still don't own one.  Last .22 I saw was priced at a gun shop at $680.  I thought that was too much but it sold inside of 2 weeks.

Have seen many go in the range of $400, sent a gunshow seller here last year

and he sold a 22 to one of the members for $425. The HV may bring a few

more dollars or who knows what on GunBroker.

Hello all, just joined yesterday, great site. Anyway, Wesson I own is .22, blued with Pachmayer grips, with I suppose is considered 4 inch barrel though measures closer to 3 and a half. Serial # is 1187*. Picked this up a few years ago here in Metro Phoenix for $300, and it is in fine shape. Came with Styrofoam box with sleeve, parts list, tool and other period info dated 1979. Any ideas of actual year of manufacture? will add this to Serial number registry.

Welcome to DWF, and Thanks, I got your email with the Serial Number info.

Barrel length is from forcing cone to muzzle, your length difference is the amount of barrel screwed in to the frame.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
