Looking for info on a pair of Dan Wesson 2nd amendment 24kt gold hand engraved 44 magnums.8" barrel,new,unfired,in walnut case.American Historical Society guns,700 made,these are serial#2A D175 & serial#2A D199,case has shell holders & 2nd amendment scroll. I talked to 1 person that said he bought 1 gun about 8 years ago new & paid $2600. Would appreciate any info or pricing.

Two pair of these were just auctioned off this past Sunday. One set, in gold sold for ~$1900 The other set, one gun was blued and the other was either stainless or nickel sold for $1200. I have seen them on the usual 'net sites; GA, GB, AA, etc. with asking prices well below what your friend paid. Beyond this I can only speculate...

I have the original ad for that gun from a G&A magazine. I'll have to dig it up, but if I remember correctly they were $1800 new.
Do you have the original gold bullets also?
