Me myself, I won't even bid on it. I Don't like the way he asked for offers all over the place. Somebody on Facebook offered him $5,000 and he didn't respond. I don't think that was a serious offer. Agree with 10mmbelow it's worth whatever someone will pay for it. Glad I have my pack like it but VH already. I think someone here has one like it also. So, it's not one of a kind.

This link should have been posted in the auctions forum not here in revolvers. It should have also included disclosure that the OP is the seller. It is my opinion that the OP here is not an active forum participant but rather a drive by that has been trolling this pac around the internet for over 2 months. I am not normally hard on DWF members but I call them like I see them.

Yes I am the seller. I did post a couple months ago here and on the FB group trying to find an approximate value. Hardly trolling. Seems like a reasonable thing when you have a rare item instead of taking the first offer that comes along. Debated on whether to keep it or not and finally came to a decision.
Not sure why you guys are so upset - its a rare gun that rarely if ever comes up for sale. This could be a "once in a lifetime" opportunity for the right collector. Sorry I'm not going to sell it for $800 but instead did my homework on the gun.
If it doesn't sell I have no problem keeping it. But I suspect the upset guys are the ones who can't afford it. Calling that like I see it.

You might be surprised about who can afford what.
I have posted questions about values but they have been from the standpoint of 'did I get a good buy?' or 'how much should I pay?' rather than how much is it worth.
There was a lot of pretense related to the earlier listings about the set. Very little was straight forward. I think that's more bothersome than anything. Trying to run it buy the forum as someone else's auction doesn't score points either.
If you want to keep it...what does it matter how much someone else thinks it's worth?
If you want to sell it...put it out there and sell it with no reserve and see what it's worth. Unless you overpaid...

This statement shows that you are not an active participant on this forum. I know there are more than a couple high rollers frequenting the DWF, a couple of which have already posted on this thread. Regulars here would know them. You came asking for opinions on value, you got several from experienced Dan Wesson collectors. I do not see anywhere here that somebody lowballed you at $800.
It is a very rare pac, and quite a desirable one, a great one to add to a collection. Once in a lifetime? No. I have been infatuated with Dan Wesson revolvers for a few years, it is not the first .32 ss pac I have seen for sale.
If you want to know the fair market value, take the reserve off and see where the bids take it.

I'm a little late in following and understanding what this topic is really about, sorry for not keeping up to date.
Topic LOCKED. In the interest of helping any DWF Member that might want to buy this it will remain visible on DWF for a brief period of time, then it will be deleted.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
