Hello everyone. I've been looking at a Dan Wesson for a few months now that a shop has for sale for $1190! Yes, that does indeed seem like a lot of cash. However, the pistol comes with a 2", 8", and a 15" barrel, scope, I believe 2 sets of grips, and a case. Any idea if that price is in the ball park or if they are way over their heads? Thanks everyone.

That's not a bad price for what you are getting a 15 inch barrel assembly which are hard to come by and reach the 700.00-750.00 price range on Gunbroker and Ebay, so you would be getting the revolver and 2 barrels, case and extras for about 500.00 not a bad deal at all. The 4 & 6 inch barrels are easy to find to fill out the pack.
If you pass on this please send a PM to me with info where it's at.

Well, to put that in perspective, I just looked at a 15-2VH with a Hogue grip on consignment for $600. The gun shop guy agreed with me that the seller probably is required to sell all of his guns because he is F'ing Crazy for asking $600 for a $400 gun at best.
15" B/A sells for $500 so fast it will make your head spin
2 1/2" and 8" are possibly two of the least available of the normal type B/A's, either one sells for $150-200, or trades for 4" or 6" straight up. If "case" means a DW Pistol Pack case, $100+ easily.
Scope and/or no drill mount is just gravy on this deal.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I agree with the other guys, if I ran across that in a local shop I would jump on it. As long as the condition of the pistol and all the barrels was very good/excellent. The 15" barrel is the swaying factor there, they go for crazy prices on Ebay.
Of course, perhaps a good negotiator could get the price down to around $1000, which would be even better

To change the subject just a little, I am new to DW's, but I have a 15-2 in .357mag and have the opportunity to purchase 3 - .357 mag barrel assembly's. The package comes with 4 sight blades, 2 feeler gauges and 1 set of scope rings and mount, for the model 15-2 pistol. What is a fair price for this package? The person selling this, as well as I, do not know. The b/a's are 2", 6", & 8", I think. They have a little bit of external rust, but nothing a little steel wool would not take care of, and the bluing looks on at least one of the b/a's appears to be worn off. Thank you in advance for your help.

$500-750. If the B/A's fill out a Pistol Pack (ie-you have a 4") there is some good added value for you. Depending on which scope mount/rings type, maybe more.

Thanks for the response Steve. Although I have not actually seen the b/a's myself, just a couple of pictures via emails, and I have no idea as to the scope mount/rings type, I just know that it is already mounted to the 8" b/a, I'm guessing you're saying that if I can pick everything up for $300, it might be a good deal.

Well gents, I ended up buying the dang thing for $1050! It does have a case, just not sure if it's Dan Wesson. Since I was out of state it has to be transferred and will hopefully be here by Friday or so. I am now looking for a 4" and 6" barrel that are ribbed. So, if anyone knows where to get some so that I can have those in the set, please let me know ) Thanks everyone!
