Hi Guys
I am busy looking at a DW 8" 44 mag but not sure if it is maybe a 445 super mag. I just want to see if you guys can help me out a bit on the gun. These are the pic I got from the guy! Can you guys maybe help with model and value of the gun by looking at the pic?
The guys want R10500 which is about $1190. That is the price a collector here in South Africa told him he could get. Is it a good price seems a little steep

The caliber is stamped on the shroud on the side opposite the ejector rod. Its hard to tell from the pics, the second one looks like the longer Supermag cylinder but agian without a reference its hard to tell. Ask the guy what it is, or for better pictures to be certain. As to value, its hard to say what is a good price in your country, as alot of factors like availability, laws etc play into valuation. In my part of the US that figure would be at about the top of the price point but not out of line, especially if it came with the scope, dies, and brass. That is a special shroud, an 8 Vent Heavy Compensated 8VHC. It takes a special compensated barrel wrench to remove it. Be sure he has it. EWK Arms, ad in the right sidebar of this page, makes the best tools for our guns but you will have to ask him if he ships overseas.
BTW I just sold that exact same barrel assembly for a 445 Supermag and the barrel and shroud brought $415 US on Gunbroker.

There isnt a lot ofnthem around you have to really look! The guy doesnt have the tool for the barrel and it doesnt come with anything only the gun and scope! I have asked him for the serial number!
I really like the look for the gun but the price is a little of putting!
