They have these for $950 at Kentucky Gun Co. What is everyone's thoughts on these? I was able to shoot Scorpio's 715 which I think was a blem but we couldn't find anything. Makes me wonder why they put these out there without just fixing the issue...

Jody, I was pretty impressed with Scorpio's 715, and you are right whatever the blem was we couldn't find it. It is a nicer looking revolver in person than what I had thought of in pics. I will say I did not even want one until I saw and shot Scorpio's. I am uncomfortable though buying a brand new gun without being able to see it first, especially a blem model, I would want to examine it before committing.
The CZ-USA website still says regular production is targeted for late summer. I already talked with my local gun shop, to see if they can get me a non blem when they come out. I think the Blems are a fine deal but I am willing to pay the extra for a non blem, I do not often buy brand new guns anyway. My thought is that if the blems are that nice the regular ones should be great!

Here is a new 715 for $800, even better. The seller lists it as used, he had 2 on GB before. I had contacted him and it is in fact new and he emailed me Blem sheets for both revolvers.

I would be open to considering a blem if,
one. I could see it first hand.
two. If the price was right.
What I really can't figure out is the marketing strategy of releasing blems prior to the first run product.
As well as there seem to be an awful lot of blems, just how many are they producing?

Here's my problem with buying a blem. It's marked as a blem. So 20 years from now when it's acquired some wear and character, it's still a blem. It won't have the value of a 20 year old non-blem in the same or worse condition.
I don't think it's fair, as in the GB ad, to list it as used. It's not used. It's a factory blemished production model that they can't sell as new. It's not a "used" non-blemished production model. To put it simply.... it's a reject. If they were selling them for $400 it might be worth having it as a shooter.
It angers me that CZ is releasing blemished seconds for sale. That policy, in my mind, does pay respect to the original design and manufacturing philosophy of DWF. It cheapens the brand. Hey CZ... here's a concept for you.... Recycle!
Ask yourself this, when was the last time you saw a "blem" fresh from the factory Corvette or Ferrari for sale?!
Geeeee.... I got a little worked up on that one .
Sorry guys.

I didn't realize the gun I had bought was a blem until the seller had my money in hand, which he didn't seem to want to return, so I took delivery of the gun. As Lonwolf93 said, we all examined it at range day and nobody could find anything wrong with it other than the blem stamp. It shot very well and I plan to keep it as a shooter.
I don't understand the concept of premarketing a blem before the main run of first quality guns comes out. It would make sense to sell the firsts and after a period of time, then sell the blems at a reduced price. Doing it the way CZ has decided seems bassackwards.

Once again I seem to have missed something here.
It appears to me that they're doing it exactly as you said. The way I see it, they released the first quality guns some time ago and are now unloading the seconds at a (barely) reduced price.
