I am looking at getting one tomorrow. I know absolutely nothing about the gun and there is not much online...I've been looking for a bit now.
Anyway it is the prettiest nickel on a gun I have ever seen. It has a dark tan almost cowboy style grip on it. Fixed sights in the rear and 4 inch barrel.
It's a gorgeous gun, great condition and it feels better in my hand than a ruger gp100. I haven't messed with tauruses yet, but if I could get a DW instead, I think I would prefer the character.
My only worries are, am I getting a terrible, bad, good, or smoking deal at 430 OTD and what kind of help can I expect from CZ on this gun? It does not have an markings denoting a model, which leads me to believe it is an older gun. Will CZ stand behind Dan Wesson's like Ruger does their guns if they malfunction?
Thanks for the help guys.

Welcome Sugar!
That doesn't sound like too bad a deal. CZ/DW really doesn't support any but the "latest" iteration of the Dan's. That means that in .38/.357 it's the models 15/715.
They do not make pork chop style shrouds anymore and the barrels are all currently made for the shrouds with internal barrel nuts. The barrels may actually be the same, I'm not sure, someone else will have to chime in here.
I have found DW to be very cooperative about honoring any reasonable request, but they do have limits.
Don't forget to post some when you get it.

Maybe you can explain this to me. This gun I looked at appeared to have a changeable barrel, but the barrel end did not have a nut. if you looked down the barrel (great idea, right?), right on the end, flush, there was kind of a circle with a couple notches machined out.
What exactly is that? So it's a good deal, but not a smoking good deal, right?

That is the nut. (Originally the nuts were on the exterior, what some refer to at ugly. The design was changed to make the nut interior.) Eric makes very good barrel nut wrenches. His website link is on the right side of the page, EWK Arms. to the site and please some post pics. Nickel guns are cool.

That means that you have the internal barrel nut. That also means that what you have is most probably not a D11. That also means that you will not have any great difficulty getting parts from DW.
Post some pics as soon as you get it. We live for pics here and the pics help us determine what you actually have so we can provide correct assistance if required.

If the revolver you are looking at has the "porkchop" shroud, internal barrel nut, and fixed rear sight, it is a Model 14, or 14-1.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

The D-11 wold have had the external nut or as it was called ugly nut! see pic below. That said a guy can find w-12 and d-11 stuff on the web (the nut be the hard thing) One of these in nickle is a find I hope it is factory and not a cover up. The price is good though I dont about your area, around here they are up and down sometimes a steal some times not.
Always ask what comes with it , box, wrench, grips, paper work, and you have to show us some pics and soon or you may get one of these!!!!

Contrary to what I posted above (by mistake, in my pre-coffee haze), it may very well be a 14-1 Porkchop style. I was thinking the 14 model roll marks were there all through the 'Chop years, but I wasn't remembering correctly.
Anyway, here are some pics of 14-1's & 14-2's.
14-1 Porkchop...
This gun will have this style of fixed rear sight...
14-2 straight shroud...
