I have (High Standard .357 magnum) SENTINEL MK II 4" BARREL. made in Hamden Conn. USA, serial number starts H 2xxxx
I would like to know the history of this revolver if anyone can help. It look like the one Numrich has a model 9, 14, 15 schematic. I order springs and a strut and the springs are the same. But the strut is different. This will have to be hand fitted. This shoots fine double action, but does not lock up in single action.
Is there a place to find barrel material as to build barrels for these guns?
I have the use of the necessary equipment to grind the out side of the barrel to the right size if I can find .357 barrel blanks.
This is the only gun of this type that I have ever seen and all of the gunsmith that I have talked to have never seen one like it. One gunsmith offered me $150.00 for the barrel alone.

Welcome to the DWF. DW built revolvers for HS to market back in the day but I will leave the history lesson to others that are better with it than I. As for the no lock up in SA, try backing off the grip screw as that is a common problem. Good luck

Barrels and threads are the same for the HS and Dan Wesson, Shrouds from the early Dan's will work the d11'S OR 14'S will work! I will check length as to barrels compared to the 14-2's or 15-2' and HS's! I am surprised the gun smiths even knew what it was!
Oh and welcome to this place!
I hate to do this but!!!!
