Generally speaking, the 15-2 was a very accurate gun. The 2.5 barrel will not be a long range firearm but will be very accurate at close range. The beauty of the Dan Wesson is it's ability to change barrel length at will. If you find the 2.5 isn't sufficient for your needs, you can always get longer barrels and put them on the frame. Gun is very reliable and simple to work on by the owner.

To add to Scorpio's info, the Dan is way more robust than a Smith. It will outlast a model 19 by 10s of thousands of rounds and when the barrel Is shot out( which is very uncommon) you can just screw a new one in in 2 minutes. Pawn shops are filled with Smiths with shot out barrels. The model 19 was not meant for a steady diet of 357. LE used 38 special for practice and 357 for duty. A Dan Wesson is one of the most durable Revolvers made.

Well that would depend on who is pulling the trigger. Give almost any gun to Gerry Michulek and he will be able to hit a target at 200 yards with a 2.5 barrel. I would have a hard time doing that with a bench rest, an unlimited supply of ammo and all day to do it.
In the right hands, a 2.5 15-2 would be able to do that yes, but how many of us are as accurate as our guns?

Steve - it is (the Roster). If it's not on the Roster it's not shipping into the state unless with a LEO exemption.
Am I correct, no DW revolvers on the Roster that I saw in a quick search?
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
