Tank, for being new at this, that is one you took and posted. A fine SM to say the least, The 375 is my second favorite of the big four! You should reallly hang on to that and go shoot it and enjoy it. IMHO I think it is worth a bit more than some had mentioned. The time, location and amount of exposure to the correct crowd really dictates the value of your firearm. See this post:

I'm curious did the pack come with an extre 8" barrel wrapped in oil paper and was there a date on the paper. Also looks to be a Monson package is that right, just trying to date the gun along with the serial no. with the last didigts x'ed out. It is sweet looking don't worry about the gun go shoot it this forum has info to get you started in loading.

Good morning Tank & Welcome about.
The 375 SM is my only SM Factory frame. Fine shooters !
I setteled on the 255 lead bullets I have molds for and have no regrets. The 375 SM will easily duplicate & pass the old 38-55 loadings Winchester & Marlin (and others) manufactured many years ago and some still do for the old Black powder rifles.
For my 1st handgun deer I used the 375 here in ILL. 200 meter rams are no challenge with any 220+ grain bullet pushed by a healthy load.
I would certainly start hunting up dies and get that beautiful Dan into the daylight.
MERRY CHRISTMAS to All !

I agree, sometimes the right buyer will come along at the right time & really put a smile on a seller's face. I was honestly surprised the one in the link went for as much as it did. That one sold immediately after the one I bought for $900~ish, and mine came with an extra barrel assembly, grips, tools, & bunch-o-brass...and I sorta thought I overpaid a little. But I'm glad I did it.
Tank's gun sure is a beauty, though.
