I emailed Keith at DW and he replied that he's never seen a 32 pistol pack before and never seen one with this kind of interior either.
Isn't the blue colored foam inside the pistol pac, just the foam padding that's found underneath the typical yellow colored cloth?
Could someone have simply removed the cloth from the inside of the 32 pac, or did they actually come this way as well.

The pack with the blue foam and the latches that turn are from very late Monson Era. IMHO. Shortly before the end of 91 and the start of the Palmer years. Some were probably used for Palmer rolled guns also. Sometimes the frames are Monson and the shrouds are one line Palmer marked. I suspect many Monson marked frames were used in the beginning of the Palmer years. I personally like those cases. They are slimmer than the earlier packs. 32 packs are not common but are out there in the various types of cases.

Yep just what Ole Dog said, to tired the other night to type all that.
These cases were used during Palmer era, and I'm thinking this was a frame from Monson and was put together at Palmer, you see a lot of the hunter packs with this type of case as well as some 4 barrel packs. I have a couple of hunter packs with this case and a 722 pack.
Foam is much nicer in the brown case with gold fabric.

These cases are not as common as the brown with gold cloth. This is a factory case, the blue foam didn't come with fabric, this foam also breaks down and gets misshapen over time.
Agreed! These are the Tourister style cases, that used different foam than the older brown cases used.
Willy...how much?? J/K
