Dan Wessons varies in price depending on lots of factors (condition, Monson built, original case & tools, etc etc).
When I was searching for my DW .357 715V I came across many different prices, including $50. where the weapon survived a fire but was in non-working condition.
The guys here are very informative, pictures and more info helps. If you can prove it was never fired that increases the value significantly.
Hop on gunbroker.com as previously stated, see whats around, go to a few auction sites and gun sites and do your research. With something like that you definately want to take your time and price it accordingly.
SIncerely,
Rod

CTG stands for cartridge ie, 357 cartridge.
As others said it all depends of condition, box & papers with tool's, fired lot, fired very little, new in box unfired.
The gun could be worth $400 to $900 depending on things mentioned and finding the right buyer wanting a Dan Wesson. I paid $700 for NIB unfired 715 VH8 couple years ago, and consider it a better buy then a new S&W 357 N frame.

Welcome to the forum. By the way, if you happen to know the purchase history, we are trying to put together a registry. All the original info is un-obtainable, so any firm new info is really appreciated.

Just to show you how the prices have gone up recently on all DWs, but the 715's especially, I bought a near mint, barley fired Monson 715 in 2005 from someone on Gunbroker. It came in the original box, with 3 grips, the usual checkered one, a houge rubber grip, and a custom finger grooved one, with one of the later crappy wrenches. It also has custom sights on it, (much better than the stock ones, IMO), and a couple of stock front sight blades (Not found for over a year, taped onto the bottom of the foam) for...$269. I had just missed what looked almost as nice of one for $259 with just the regular grips, but with a good wrench a couple days or so earlier. Last one I bought, a blued Monson gun in great shape was $350, and I was very happy to get it that cheap. It came with no papers, etc, in an aftermarket hard case, and a broken plastic wrench.
