You have a very rare and wonderful gun. The Norwich First Edition small frame guns are my favorite. The right side frame pins are polished smooth with the frame like most high end Revolvers. Colts and other DWs have rivet heads that look clunky. The First Edition stainless top strap and rail bead blasting looks like crushed diamonds. The First Editions were the first Revolvers made in Norwich but the serial number range varies for each caliber. Your gun was probably made in 2001. If you have extra barrel assemblies that came with the pack they should all have the same First Edition number. Any BAs not purchased with the pack will not have the First Edition design and number. After the First Editions the frame pins were not polished off and the shrouds were not numbered. The A stands for 22 caliber whether it is 22LR or 22Mag.
We would love some pictures.

I am not sure about the frame as you blocked the serial number but those are not the correct barrels for a First Issue 722 Pistol Pack II. Here are a few pictures of my First Issue 715 Pistol Paclk II. Notice the barrels are all roll marked first issue with the last three digits of the revolver. My First Issue Pistol Pack II was manufactured in 2002. Yours is still a very nice looking 722 Pack though.

Yes, all the barrels for a First Issue Pistol Pack II were roll marked First Issue and the last three digits of the serial number. Those are not the correct barrels for a First Issue 722 Pistol Pack II as all the barrels should read First Issue 172 in the case of your revolver. It is still a very nice Pack though. I will let Ole Dog confirm for you as he has lots of knowledge regarding Dan Wesson but I am pretty sure.
Yes, not a First Issue. The case is though. The First Issue insignia and number would be on the right of the frame under the grip if it is a First Issue frame. It appears to be a First Issue as the frame pins on the right side are polished flush with the frame. The 21/2" BA is probably an EWK. There is no roll mark or vent rib.

Ole Dog can chime in but I was told very few of these packs were ever made Pistol Pack II First Issues. Pretty rare I was lucky to get this one I felt. I had two like the one I pictured but sold one to a collector friend of mine. Why someone would sell the matching barrels to a First Issue makes no sense as they are serialized to the revolver itself.
