Ummm, yeah. I'm not sure I follow this guy's reasoning here...how does it go from being "Number One" with a s/n of 99 on it? Sounds to me like it's number 99 to me. Number one was 98 guns ago.
Also, there's no mention of the wooden box that should accompany the gun. Plus, I'm diggin' the plethora of photos that the seller has laid out to entice that would-be sucker...

I think what he's trying to say here, although very poorly, is that this was production run number one (i.e. the first 250). I'll give him the benefit of the doubt here and say poorly worded. However, it could actually cleverly worded to fool some people.

The reality here is that the Dove Grey, lightly engraved .44 Mag in the first production run is a really nice one to get. Without the presentation case and documentation, and at $4200, well...
Maybe the same guy that bought the Safari gun will buy this one proves the statement often mis-attributed to P.T. Barnum:
"There's a sucker born every minute"
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Seeing as how that gun is worth so much, I'll let my dove gray limited edition DW 44 go for for the bargain price of $3500.
Seriously is this guy nuts? And only ONE pic, and a poor one at that. Good luck trying to get a third of that for that gun.

Here's the thing about these types of guns - commemoratives and special editions, especially engraved, are basically meant to be "looked" at. I know some people like them, some don't, it's all a matter of personal preference. But the bottom line is that most special edition guns once fired, and especially those with scuffs and marks that show use, do not hold their value even as much as regular production guns. I'd love to add one of these to my collection, NIB, with all the documentation, at a fair price of about 20-25% asking price.
