All:
I'm happy to report that my 722 is now in queue for repair at the Norwich plant. I specifically requested what I thought to be a repair of the revolver to correct a lack of double action capability. It turns out that this revolver was installed with a single action only mechanism. CZ-DW has the parts to convert it to double action. I find more utility in having both mode of operation with this revolver. However, like many of you out there, spoiling any special features would disturb me, especially if the special features is what adds to the intrinsic value of the gun. I was told I can have the old parts back. So I presume I can always convert it to the way it originally left the Palmer factory.
So, with that in mind, do I go on with the repair or not? Thanks. DW22F (for now).

I for one would let it be. The silhouette .22LR revolvers that were made that way from factory retain some added value for collectors. You are correct I suppose that you could return it to its SA only operation, but I would not go through with it for the above reason alone. You are the ultimate decision maker in this case as to how you wish to operate Your revolver, you own it. Just my two cents...

It is always yours to do with as you wish, but that is a less common and specially designed and purpose built DW. If it were me, I'd leave it as is, but I also normally shoot my 722 SA as well.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
