Just got back from the show they're having in Wichita this weekend. The Dan Wesson selection was definitely lacking. There was one 15-2 pistol pack that came with 2.5, 4, 6, and 8 inch VH barrels. The guy was asking $1050 for it. The only other Dan was the 15-2 I traded off at the last show!
Do the rest of you have better luck at shows? Or do you do better at local gun shops, pawn shops, online, etc? It's really tough to feed my DWAS when there's nothing to buy.

The last show here in my area (a big regional one) had only two Dans, a clapped out 15-2 and a mint 44 that I bought. Not even a pistol pack among them, no parts or BAs either. I find much more stuff online. My local stores tell me they don't see a Dan but every now and then. There aren't alot of pawn shops around here either.
Anything worth doing is worth doing well.

I found a 44 plastic wrench at Wichita today, saw the PP it is his beater one! over priced and not in good shape. I missed the one you traded off! What are they asking for it. (not that I need any more 15-2's)
May do a quick walk through tomorrow! Did pick up some 9x18 ammo FMJ and JH. Hey to buy something!
was just not happening today! and i agree allot more found on the web! I was in search of a HS saw a few though not the one I want/need!

I haven't had any luck at all at my local gun shows. If there is a DW there (very rare), it's almost guaranteed to be way over priced. I have only bought one DW ever locally & that was my 15-2 PP that I over-paid on. Still, I'm glad I did it & no, it's not going down the road anytime soon...if ever.
Every single other DW I've bought has been an online purchase, mostly through GB, some with AA & GA, and a couple from other gun forums.
With gun shows, I have gotten used to the disappointment. If I ever do find something nice for a good price, I will probably suddenly feel lightheaded...crack my melon open on a table & go home looking like I just went 6 rounds with with Buster Douglas.

Very few (and very small) shows in this area, I don't even go to them anymore. There are about 10 gunshops within an hour's drive, so virtually everything for me has been local purchase.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Yeah, the internet seems to be where the best deals are. That's how I found my second 15-2. Practically stole it too. 6" heavy, 4" standard, 2.5" standard barrels, DW soft case, and factory tool for $450.
At the show yesterday, the guy was asking $675 for the one I traded off. It had a 6" standard, 4" vented, and 2.5" vented barrels with it.
