Sure did! You see them for sale rarely, there are some owned on DWF.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I tried several months ago to pick up a .22 Mag cylinder on Gun Broker to switch in and out on my Model 22. I ended up bidding more than I planned to, it still slipped away in a last ditch bidding war that I could not match.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

So I take it, the 22 LR bbl and shroud will work as long as the cylinder is

22 mag.  ?

Thank you Harly,

that is really a nice PAC. Do you know, if I purchased the 22mag. bbl and shroud

would they fit on my 22 LR revolver ?

thanks again

Yes, they'll fit, but if you're trying to make your .22lr into a .22 mag, the best thing to do is send the gun up to the Norwich factory and have them fit a .22 mag cylinder to it.  If everything on your gun is in good condition and does not need replacement, you can get away with having them fit a .22m cylinder and extractor for about $150 plus the labor.  And as I recall, that doesn't include finishing so you'd have to have it blued which shouldn't be more than about $50.  The barrels are the same so you don't need new barrels and you can use your .22lr shrouds.  You'd be better off putting the money into the cylinder than into the .22m barrel assy's.

The 22mag is like the 32 mag, 32-20 few and far between!  Nice looking pac Harly!

Somewhere it was stated the twist was different on the mags though not sure where or if it would make any difference!

Wonder if they could machine one into 22hornet?

I checked with Keith in Norwich and he said that they could install a 22 mag cylinder

into my 22 LR frame for about $300. Also stated that he has done several like

that and the owners report back that with the new and improved ammo on the 22 LR, it's not that much different.

I guess he talked me out of it, or maybe it was the ($300 +)

I found one exactly like it a couple years ago and it's one of my favorites.  Good luck negotiating it and show us the prize if you get it.....but, if by chance you don't manage to reach an agreement, send him down this way.  I like pairs of everything!drool
