I've looked at EWK's site for blue 2.5" and 4" EH (slab) barrel assemblies for my large frame 44 magnum but all I see is the SS version listed. The picture that they show is listed as SS but it looks like it's blue. Currently I have a blue 44 magnum (monson) with the 6" VH barrel assembly but I really like the sleek look of the slab shroud.
What gives. Anybody have a clue or did I miss something?

The current inventory is SS only, it looks like. Of course, you can always write him to ask for what you want. Eric is normally very accommodating. Please be sure to slide over to the New Members thread and introduce yourself; Welcome to DWF.

Good morning and Welcome to the DW home.
If enough requests are received EWK (Eric) will make note of the request. His is a small but well opperated buisness which cannot bare the cost of a large inventory. As funds are available the next project is produced. If there are 41 requests for a fast twist type barrel then that would tend to influence what gets produced first. If there were 44 requests for the blue shrouds then the fast twist barrel may get placed back again ( But Please No, No, No ).
But a short blue shroud would look nice hanging on any large blue frame DW... even a caliber .41.

Mike is right on, couldn't have said it better!
As I have been selling barrel nuts for awhile, I've seen the stainless barrel nuts for the large frame by far outsell the blued ones by a wide margin, so that's why I started with the SS barrel assemblies for the 44.
I don't have the best camera skills, but those are indeed stainless in the pictures!
