I hate to register and post in a drive by posting. But I thought this might be of interest.
I have a dw 44 6 inch target model that I am going to need to sell. In the past 12 years Ive taken it out and shot it twice. I am trying to find out if it is special enough that I should try to sell to DW aficionados or throw it in the local classifieds.
It is a monson made gun in the 62xx serial number range in beautiful condition. It has pachmeyr grips, ( I have the wooden ones somewhere in the house but I dont know where) It has the barrel tool and burris no drill mount that is in a separate box.
I don't want to sell it, but need overcomes want at a certain time.
Any thoughts on price range or on where I should try to sell?
Thanks
Bill
The Monson model 44's usually run between $400 and $450 for the blued model and $50 more for stainless. For pistols on auction sites, you have to go through a FFL dealer to send it to their FFL dealer, which ups the price another $40 to $80 depending on the dealer. Auctions will usually get the best price, but if you have any DW fanatics in your local area, you and they could save the transfer and shipping fees. Good luck and don't settle for much less than the above prices, as prices for DW's are climbing.
