So Im getting one of Erics awesome shrouds, the problem is my .357 mag is stainless....
So I was looking at options and Duracoat came up. I read alot on it and it seems like I would get the matte black look I want. I can also match the shroud and the frame perfectly.
IM not sure if I want to try and do it myself (after some practice on other stuff) or send it out to be professionally done.
Has anyone done this? Pros Cons?
Should I just blue the frame?
Thanks

Meaning no offense but if I had a stainless DW I would leave it alone. I prefer stainless in a revolver for all that I love the look of my blued DW 357.
I hope EWK has another shipment of barrel assemblies soon. Want to put a very short barrel on my 357 and try it out!

My opinion on this type of thing is always the same. It's your gun, do with it whatever you want to make you happy.
There are a number of different firearms coatings (duracoat, cerakote, TiN, etc.) that you can mix and match, or even get something in a shiny finish to look almost like stainless.
So, do what ya wanna do; go where ya wanna go.
