Dear members, I am in the market to buy a DW 15VH-6 but as I am completely unknowledgeable about these guns I need help. I have researched this forum for the last 3 days and the wealth of knowledge about these firearms is astounding. I would like to know what years of production produced the highest quality revovers, and what serial #s correspond to those years. Thank You to all who respond.

If your budget permits, the NEW 715 DWs are on the market now, so you could get a brand new one. From what I've read, the quality on these is fantastic as is the fit and finish. Otherwise as used guns go, condition is going to a bigger factor in the quality of any gun you look at more so than a particular year.

I am really interested in a blued gun. What do you think is a fair price for a 15VH-6 in 95-98%?
In my area of OH I can get a 15-2 for $300 or so. Not sure what the
going rate in FL is. On the auction sites a minty 15-2 seems to go in
the $350 to $400 or more range. Right now there is a nice looking
(from what the pics show) in your FL on Armslist.com :

I would make an offer to seller and see what he says, If that dosen't
work out for you then hit the gun shows hard and you will find what
you want if you are patient

Here is one that has been up a few times with no sale for $349 here
in OH.
Not a 98% but should rate 95%
