Greetings:
After years of looking, I recently found a very minty Monson-made DW pistol pack in .41 mag. Sweet shooter.
A couple of questions:
(1) Been trying to find a good chest rig for it, but the one I really want (Kenai Chest Rig by GunfightersINC) does not have a DW specific holster. Is there another large frame wheelgun whose kydex holsters might work with a DW .41?
(2) Is there any source (other than just watching Gunbroker, eBay, etc.) for other .41 barrels/shrouds?
Thanks — LKB

"Leather, I like leather." Moon Zappa on Joe's Garage.
If you consider leather: Diamond D Leather in Wasilla, AK., will set you up. I bought a Guide's Choice from them for my DW44V8. Gun fits like a charm! It's nice to talk to a holster maker that knows the difference between V and VH!
They make a nice hip holster(s) that I might buy for VH4 and VH6. With flap to protect that nice DW blue.
Edit: Keep hunting if you want different BAs for your gun. I got the Monson NOS BAVH6 (the box says SS, but the BA was mint) off GB...cost more than the whole gun did when new.
If it doesn't have to be original then try EWK (he's listed on this site) {I've bought some barrels from him and they are 1st class!} or some people have had good luck with CZ (the .22 barrels I bought from them were not threaded long enough). The pics I've seen of the new 357 shrouds seem to be slightly different than the originals.

Thanks. Unfortunately, Diamond D is running 10 weeks for orders, so no good for me (need one in a month).
GunfightersInc. indicates that some large frame DW revolvers fit some of their various large frame holsters (I suspect the V/VH distinction is the confounding factor, with a VH barrel not fitting). Has anyone had any luck in using a Kydex holster for, say, a Redhawk / Super Redhawk on a DW .41 or .44, with a V barrel?
