Now that I've shot my DW 715 with the factory 6 inch barrel and the optional 8 inch I've noticed some differences.
The 6 inch barrel gets HOT pretty fast and stays hot ..........for a LONG TIME.
The 6 inch barrel shoots dead accurate with no adjustments from 11 yards
The 8 inch barrel takes longer to heat up but cools down quicker
The 8 inch barrel shoots low compared to the 6, I was having to aim at the bottom of the black part of my 8" shoot n see targets to hit the bulls eye. Both front sights appear to be the same height. Once I made this adjustment in my point of aim, I was tearing up that 8 inch target at 11 yards ! What really shocks me is being able to "slightly" jerk the trigger in SA and still hit the 8 inch target. Do this with my GLOCKS and your low and left every time.
I LOVE this revolver more and more every time I hit the range ! Love the wheel guns !
