Good Afternoon Everyone,
I went to the local gun show this weekend looking for a good deal on a new toy. I did come across a couple of Model 15's but neither was in very good shape plus I already have 2 so didn't really need another.
I started talking to a dealer that I see at all the shows and turns out he's located near me and I never knew it. He only deals in used guns which is a plus for me since there's not many new guns that interest me.
I ask him if he had any DW's and he said he had a few DW 15's and a Stainless 44 with the 10", 8" and 6" barrels. I got very excited and turns out all the barrels have been magnaported. However I'm not sure if it was done at the factory or not.
Here is a picture:
The gun is in nice shape but has a few handling marks. Got it for $695. Does that sound inline? It has the tool, gauge and instruction manual as well.

With the prices on barrels the way they are, you got a great deal. And the magnaporting just makes it sweeter !!!
I'm not for certain sure if it applies to the 44's but I would think it would, the .357's have a note that 10", 12", and 15" barrel assemblies have special sights and instructions packaged with them. You might check that 10" barrel because I usually find the longer barrels have a standard 1/8" wide serrated with white, yellow, or red insert. These front sights came in at least two heights that I know of, additionally Dan Wesson Arms offered Patridge Type front sights, PS-1, PS-2, PS-3, & PS-4 which were different heights and 2 through 4 were 0.100" thick instead of 0.125.
They turn up occasionally on the auction sites.
