A local pawn shop just got the revolver above, Serial No 35303x -- No extras, just the gun.

It's a target model.  I make it a small frame, since I could shoot it and I have small hands.

There's some pitting on the left hand side of the bbl.  Other than that it looks pretty clean.

IMHO I think he wants 'way too much.  Asking price is $700, but he says he'll deal.  I suspect he'll take $550.  Any idea if it's worth it?

Thanx,

This is another case of what you are willing to give and how much you like the Dan!  Is it a 15-2 what barrel?  Have you bought at this place before?  Several things to take into account!  If you like and can get him down to a price you like then by all means buy it!

I've got a couple in stock and in  better condition with box and tool I'd be willing to let go if you're interested.  I'll send you a PM.

Thanx to you and Dave_Ks.

I'm not really in the market for a gun with an 8" bbl.  The only reason I'd buy it would to trade toward something that I'd use, maybe a 4"bbl that I could carry into the field.

For example, I have a 2 1/2" fixed-bbl (14-2, I believe), and I'd trade it for a Ruger SP101 with a bobbed hammer, or a S&W 60, 640, or 649.  I like the DW, but it's just too heavy to carry concealed.  I got it for my wife.  It shoots like a dream, but carrys like an anvil.

Thanx again,

It's way high for my area.  I can think of 2 or 3 shops locally that have Dan Wesson 15-2 pistols for right about $400

I like the fixed 2 1/2"  show us some pics of that one!  Some one on here just may want to make a deal!  Now if you want the true light weight Dan search for the Lil' Dan 5 shot in ss. Truly the smallest Dan and lightest.

I have been seeing a beautifully clean and solid 15-2 8VH sitting on the shelf at the LGS for $399.

$700/$550 is not very good

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Thanks lots!  I'd hate to overspend for a gun that I just planned to trade when I got a chance.
