Thanks for that info. I LIVE IN PA. I only know what I was told by my FFL. I also was told the same thing from a dealer at this weeks past gun show. My local guy didn't charge me full price. Made it sound like he was doing me a favor not that he was required not to charge me????? I did fill out both forms and he ran my background just like the original purchase. Thanks again for your information. Next time I will know better.
Yes, PA still has some weird laws when it comes to handguns--to include registering it with he PA state police and local sheriff when you fill out 4473.

You don't actually 'register' it with the state or sheriff. The state has it's own form and the sheriff gets info for the background check but they don't 'officially' keep those records. I will check with my FFL regarding sending a gun in for service but I've been told that if it is your gun and you shipped it back to factory for service it can come directly back to you since you have already had the check performed. I will verify this soon or get clarification.

Sorry to resuscitate a thread that has been dormant for several months, but I thought it would be worthwhile mentioning that I just bought a new 715 Pistol Pack for $1529 from J&G Sales, and they still have more.
Just trying to share info of the type that I would like to get myself from time to time, since new pistol packs are scarce.
I have found that from time to time, a dealer here or there will come up with an item that is out of stock everywhere else. Don't know why, but glad it happens.
