I bought some ammo storage boxes on GB and in the box were a bunch of old shooting magazines. Two copies of 1990 Guns & Ammo Buyer's Annual. They list the DW's, most were familiar to me. New to me were: 1. Model AC708/AC174, Action Cup in 38 Spec / 357 Mag w/ optional extra heavy 6″ shroud with removeable underweight, Pasco Pro Point II sight, an extra light DA only trigger, single action upon request. Triggers narrowed for faster pull and chamfered cylinder for speedloading. The 1990 price for either cal blue or stainless: $913.30.
The other one is Model PPC8/PPC14/PPC708/PPC714. These have the same options and trigger setup as above. Price was: Blue $779.83 and Stainless $857.48 in 1990.
The 15-2 model has a bunch of setups offered, but the interesting thing was the different bluing options. bright blue, target blue, and satin blue. The blue VH Pistol Pac w/ 7 barrels (2-1/2″ – 15″) was: $804.85 The Stainless VH Pistol Pac w/ 7 barrels was: $887.81. That would be 
today.

I have an Action Cup that meets your description in the first paragraph above. Likely to be the AC708. Interesting regarding the price, $900+. I paid less (used) but didn't get the Tasco ProPoint scope.
