Wish me luck, I may own one VERY shortly.

I have always been a 6" barrel fan in any revolver. If I get this one it's .445 next. Funds allowing.

I like heavy bullets moving fast. From all I can gather DW revolvers can take heavy loads. Suits me right down to the ground.

I cast my own bullets and a 310 'grainer' moving along at 1400+ fps from the titled handgun will be nice. Accuracy from a DW revolver is a given, IMO. Although I haven't owned one I recall many years ago and even to the present day no one questions their accuracy.

So, wish me luck. I'll know tomorrow.

Good luck fellow Kentuckian, remember to post pics...post-picsDW's can handle the Ruger only loads, but for plinking I like 357mag level loads in my 357max, I cast my own too and properly assembled home loads get fantastic groups.coolgoodluck

Good luck on that DW 44. At least with the .445 you can shoot the .44 mag and .44 spl. I would only shoot the ctg made for the gun though.

I lost. No Dan Wesson .44.

Such is life. But hey, my wife and and son made it back from St. Judes safely. Way better than any gun! He's sick, of course, but treatment is going as scheduled. The world good :)

Maybe next time. . .

Gibson,

I'm glad to hear the treatments are going as planned. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers!

A DW 44 is a easy find when your ready for one.

Thanks. He and the wife are there as I type this.

The gun was on GB and I hoped to get it for 680 USD dollars, shipped. It's all I had. Worked great as not a soul bid for 9 days (10 day auction). I finally bid and a short time later a couple of other guys bid, in the end it went for 705. Oh well. I bought a BFR in 500 S&W Magnum. Now I get to starve for a month.

If one of you guys could put me on one next month for around 550 USD- I understand that it would be a bit on the used side and likely be nothing more than the gun itself, i.e. no papers, no box, no tools, no extra barrel, etc.- I would be obliged, if findable. I just want a .44 heavy underlug model in decent shape.

Andy had a spinal today so I'm on pins and needles. They extract spinal fluid and check to make sure there are no cancer cells coming back. Always scares me.

Adios.

Gibson,

As I'm sure everyone in the dwf family pray for your son's good health, my best wishes are with your family. May God's blessing be with you.
