Hello fellow DW fans.
I have a very bad case of DWAS that I am struggling with. The last one I was able to purchase was a High Standard 357 that was in fair shape. This is number 15 in my 357 DWAS and I haven't even cleaned and shot it yet. However my real DWAS "desire" is to find more 41 caliber DWs that have shorter barrels. I have 3 now with 6", 8" and 10" barrels. I really really want some with 4" and 2 1/2" barrels or at least some shorter barrels to change out in the collection. I feel this is the only way to appease my obsessive DWAS problem. I got so desperate this last week that I bought a S&W 657 with a 4" barrel but I realize it will never be the same.
Thank you for helping me with this problem in my life.

Well, my DWAS is in remission now but I sure had it bad. The only thing that slowed me down is lack of space. I am going to build on a safe gun room. May take a year but then I am back in business. And my wife gets the bedroom back.
Steve, I don't think you are going to find any 21/2" 41 BAs. They made a small number of 44 mag in Monson, and Norwich. Also EWK made some too but I have NEVER heard of a 41 made . The barrel is the problem. You can use a 44 shroud.32 mags show up occasionally. Many came from Big Boar in Idaho. They had a lot of IFP packs go through their hands but that seems to have slowed down. Maybe I will have pity and put one up for sale on GB. I have a fondness for 32 mag. S&W airweight, Dan Wessons, Charter Arms Professionals, Ruger SP 101, Taurus Ultralight. I even have my first H&R mag revolver, a NEF I paid 200 for. I liked the round when I saw how far it went into a heart of pine board. The gun itself must be one of the ugliest Revolvers ever made. The little Taurus and Smiths are remarkably accurate. Most of my 32 mag Dans are unfired and I have not shot them. The prices for 32 mag guns has not gone up as much as most calibers. I think it is because there is so little ammo available and it is over 2 dollars a round. They are making ammo in popular calibers and prices have come down but 32 mag just keeps going up. Gunbroker has only a couple boxes for sale at high prices. Luckily I hoarded that too.
