One of my DWAS treatments last week was a 744-VH pak...frame, five shrouds and seven barrels. It came in a standard DW case but the inside was different from my other paks.
This one has a deep fitted interior (professionally done) finished in black faux fur.
The serial number on the frame is four digits so I am wondering if this is an early pistol pak example or a custom job?
As always, your thoughts are appreciated and I look forward to joining the Site Supporters as soon as Jody gets my MO. I have already received information much more valuable than $50 to me.

I am pretty sure it is a custom job. Factory 44 packs came with an 8" and 6" VH and 4 barrel. 2 power ported and 2 not ported. Curious what the 5 shrouds are. Only a handful of factory 21/2" BA's were made. Palmer started the Compensated BA's. much latter. A 4 digit serial number would probably be from 1980. Up until around 10,000 they had the short hammer spur. Dan Wesson never made any longer than 10 " but EWK made 12 and 15".

The barrels and shrouds I got are as follows -
10" V shroud and barrel
8" VH power ported shroud with non-ported barrel
6" VH power ported shroud with each barrel
4" VH power ported shroud with each barrel
2.5" VH shroud and barrel (I'm pretty sure it's EWK)
