I have a question about hammer strut assembly. At what serial number or year did the hammer strut assembly and trigger go from an early style to the type used later? Are the early styles and later styles interchangeable?
Looking to buy a spare and don't know how to tell the difference.
Any and all help appreciated, thanks in advance.

Okay then, by strut assembly I suppose you mean the hammer, strut, strut plunger, and spring. That makes double, action happen. I don't know of any significant changes besides a very slightly longer hammer spur I think after models 14 and 15 in 1972. The trigger also changes with the addition of the little ledge for the trigger recoil spring about serial number 25,000. That resulted in the hammer throw being very slightly longer. They are interchangable as far as I know.
