Anyone know if the knurled ejection rods are just slightly shorter than the mushroom head ones?
I have two mushroom head rods that measure 2.5". One is just a tad long and will not allow the crane to close on my High Standard Mark 3. Other one is original on a HS Mark 2 and works just fine. I am trying to use a DW 14-1 shroud on the HS Mark 3. It does appear as though the shroud cut out for the ejection rod is longer on the HS shroud as opposed to the DW shroud. That could be the issue. Seems odd that they would cut them to different lengths. Anyway, I thought that if a knurled rod is shorter it might be easier than modifying the mushroom head one that I have if I can locate one.

I had the same problem with a model 15 shroud I recently got. The ejector rod was about 3/32" too long for the slot ( gun is a 14-1 ). I tried to find a knurled ejector rod because they are indeed shorter. Couldn't find one, so I took a ball mill and lengthened the slot 3/32' like my other shroud. Now all works well.

this clearly seems as if it should be filtered into the "other pistol" mode, as I have never seen a knurled rod on a D/W product... and it seems by lack of response, it's a bit obscure...the H/S while it paralleled somewhat the DW, is not the same/
Well,I was just bidding ON a complete cylinder Assembly for a DW. In the photo it was obviously a knurled end ON the rod. I have seen photos of complete Revolvers that have ejection Rod's with knurled ends.
I was thinking about cutting the threaded end off 3/32" and moving the shoulder on the threaded end back the same 3/32" and then use a die to cut the threads another 3/32".
Have not figured out the thread diameter and pitch yet. Other option would to do as LG did but I don't have the equipment for that procedure.
