I am sure many of you have been on EWK site and saw his prototype 15 inch Dan Wesson barrel on his home page. I wanted one bad but could not justify the 700+ dollars they were going for one gunbroker. I asked Eric about putting a deposit down on one a few months ago. I knew he was not making them right then but I wanted to make sure I got one when he started.
I sent him a check for $200 and waited. I got an email from him on Monday saying that he shipped the barrel/shroud. I was expecting to pay more on top of the $200 I sent but no additional money was asked for.
I got it today and it is super nice. It is very well made and the blueing is a very nice deep blue. I put it on my 15-2 as fast as I could. I took a few pictures with my cell phone.
Also, the grips shown are LB Custom and shaped as large frame grips.

I think that having a guy like Eric start producing these much desired items is a great thing for all of us, especially at prices like this. I confess that a 15" is kind of lost on me, but I love the 4" in .357, the 6" is OK, and the 8" is a nice to have, but I don't shoot it much.
Now, for my clamp on red dot mount
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

EWK has dne great things for all us so I suggest to order something today and order often!! IOf you dont have the wrenches he makes get them, the FO sights are great for ageing eyes! Barrels or BA while they are in stock!
That 15 is a Hog leg, i put one together over a few years, kinda the same reason wanted one!

The one on top has only 12 rounds through it (if I can believe the guy from whom I bought it). It is extremely clean with no drag or burn marks.
I believe the bottom one to be unfired. I bought it from the original owner who purchased it in Junuary 1979.
They both like really nice out in the sun, but I am hesitant to shoot either. I, like many on the forum, am looking for a 15" barrel for one of my Pistol Pacs...to shoot. To cheap to spend the money though.
