Eric is the real deal! His products are first class in quality and effectiveness. He is a member and Site Supporter, and a good friend to DWF.
Buy any of his products with confidence.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

My 15-2 didn't come with a barrel wrench. I've seen used ones on eBay that are going for roughly $30 to $40 or more. EWK sells theirs for $25, and promote it as a safer wrench because of its aluminum barrel insert. Can the originals really mark up your barrel if your not careful?

What occurs most often with the OEM wrench is the plastic breaks and the wrench slips possibly causing damage to the barrel nut. Eric's wrenches are better designed and manipulate easier, thereby reducing the chance you'll round out the slots on a barrel nut.

I think it would be safe to say that most forum members here who actually remove or change their barrel assemblies with any regularity are probably using the EWK barrel wrench.
I too have bought several other items from Eric and have always been happy with his craftmanship, not to mention he is a great guy to communicate and deal with.

I think you'll be happy with his products. I bought one of his .44 barrels and it looks very well made.
Some of the original wrenches were made with plastic. Mine did not hold up well. A set from EWK is somewhere on my buy list.
I packed my wrench in the factory pouch along with my .22. At some point I broke the small (sight) part. I didn't give it much thought. That small broken part rubbed along the rib putting a "nice" scratch for me to behold every time I get the gun out.
