I noticed the ad in the sidebar and ended up buying a barrel wrench from them, but I was wondering if anyone had experience with their extra-heavy barrel shrouds?

I have no personal experience, too much weight and bulk for me, but there will be about twenty people piling in soon with big time +1. Personally, I've sold off anything heavier than a 4VH B/A.
All that being said, you will never find better quality or workmanship than EWK, everything that comes out of his shop is a great value.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I got their wrench and gauge, and a 2.5" barrel.
Now, it ain't no J-frame for concealment, but it shoots every bit as well as anything I've had with a 4" barrel. But, between the size of this thing and the weight of the lug, it's one of the only snubbies I've ever called "pleasant" to shoot.
Since I picked up my LC9, I put the 6" tube back on, as it's kind of a woods-walking plinker and target gun mostly.
Wouldn't it be great if all wars could be fought just by the a-holes who started them?

I have to say if you like the weight you ought to try them! They will tame the 357mag way down! I have a full set plus a few extras! Not sure what are available right now, though if you buy also add the fiber optic sights! You will like them and at the range the wow factor is well worth it!

I think the EWK heavys are great. Have two and need more. The fiber sights and spring kits are also well made.

EWK barrels are scary accurate ! This is a pic of the first few down the pipe. It regulary prints one ragged hole groups at 20 to 25 yrds.

Thank you for the replies! Although, it seems to be an academic question at the moment as they are out of stock of all barrel lengths.

I emailed them about availabilty of barrels & was told they anticipate them being available in February. They will notify by email, trust this helps. I am thinking of the 2 1/2" for my 15-2, any input on this setup, would be appreciated.
