First the pics!
http://www.ewkarms.com/EPC.html
These are the very first barrel assemblies you can actually buy! Still working out the bugs, but I think these turned out pretty nice! The pictures don't show the detail that well, (okay the dust shows up good!) but the "shiny" part shroud isn't quite that very shiny DW finish...need to order more buffing supplies...the "matte" part of the shrouds isn't quite like the original DW finish either...need to order more bead blasting supplies...and very limited number of these right now...need to order more tooling I broke...
From a function standpoint, I feel this design is awesome! There is ALOT of weight with this shroud design...for me, it seems to help a bunch in being more steady with the EPC compared with the standard VH shrouds.
No markings other than 357 MAGNUM CTG on the one, again the pictures don't show the detail that well, so why not order one so you can see it first hand?

Woot!
I don't know if you know.. but in the competition I have been shooting the VH with the EWK FO and the EWK barrel and even a EWK barrel nut… heck I even sot with the grip in the picture.
One of the things lacking in the description is info on the barrel/barrel option. So is this the 1/12 or a standard 1/16?
congrats on a long plan finally coming to fruition.

Very cool Pinetor, didn't know you used all that in competition, very cool!
Good point on the barrel, updated it, its 1:12 twist. Also added some barrels only to the store.
Thanks for the good words on the pricing, that's good to hear! Should be interesting to see how they sell, I figure if there is no action on them in a couple days gonna throw one up on gunbroker as an auction and see what happens.
I hear you Steve on the design, that's why we need to get more of them going! There sure seems to have been a good bit of interest in guys wanting a "slab side" look, so here you go! Still gonna do an actual PPC, but keep in mind that's going to be getting into some money there, the Aristocrat sight rib is just about $200!

Eric -
Sweet!!
Will they come in different lengths? I was wondering if a 8" or 10" barrel lengths be available some time soon?
Lastly - I have that DWA 357 Slabside with the aristocrat sight in blue. So I was wondering where can I get a normal small frame rear sight that is blued?

I didn't think I was going to be a big fan of the heavy shroud, but I like it. Keep making them, I'm going to order one in a couple of weeks.
BTW, nice job. Do you plan to put EWK on them somewhere??? That would be awsome too!!!

Just a little post I made on our local gun owners sight
Tada!!!
A long time fan of Dan Wesson Revolvers is NOW offering third party barrels and shrouds of his own making. The first out the door Shroud Barrel combo ( called a Barrel Assembly in DW speak or BA) consists of the following:
6" "slab side" EXTRA heavy shroud
6" 1:12 twist barrel (note all stock DW are 1:16)
Cross slotted barrel nut
Red fiber optic sight ( $20 value) this is a steel custom sightThis designed for the Dan Wesson Small frame 15-2 .357 revolver. The cost is $165 plus shipping.
What this means is that you can by any basic DW 15-2 (often very cheap on GB) and by adding this BA, which YOU can put in place yourself, you have nearly an "Action Cup" type gun ( less the scope of course). A NIB DW Action Cup gun just sold on GB for over $1700 ( ~1769 as I recall).
Eric or EWK is setting to fully support these fine guns. You can find him here:
http://www.ewkarms.com/index.htm
Lastly, also of a good note CZ-USA who bought out DW, has decided to once again offer the the small frame .357. The guns will be offered only as a "gun only" no "pistol packs", and will only be offered in stainless finish. However, CZ-DW WILL sell BA's factory direct. Currently the retail price is estimated to be $1200. (thus building a "pistol pack" should cost about $2100 to $2500.

If you have any questions about these guns or are thinking about buying one ... please ask me about it.. I love to talk about them.

Silly fools, those guys must think that there is no more interest in some of their sights…well, they didn't take into account that EWK Arms (and the DW loyal followers) would come along & save their bacon!

Eric, let us know if you don't run out of stock on hand…we can remedy that, if so.

An idea for a PPC shroud is a slab shroud with a aristocrat ramp that is slightly elevated so the stock rear sight can remain in place.
This is so I can shoot revolver 1500, off duty revolver, service revolver, and distinguished revolver just by changing barrel assy and grip between matches.
A 4-in-1 PPC revolver would be very neat!
