That looks awesome!!!!! I will have to have one eventually. Eric you know if you want to speed up production you should start with the stainless models, then no need to blue them. I think you are going to be real busy.

Wow, talk about a response! Already half way sold out on them, 2 more to go!
Jody, thank you very much for posting about the BA's on the home page, I would say that will definately help!!!!
Mox, Plan is not to have EWK on any of them. Several people have seen the 15" VH prototype that have said they would prefer EWK not being on there.
duff, yes, planning on different lengths of this style, I have several 2 to 8" ones but didn't get to finish them with the tooling issues. Now that the warchest is being refilled, its off to order some more stuff I need!!! On the rear sight, probabley your best bet now is to keep an eye out on GB...
Thanks for spreading the word Pinetor!!!
CF, That would be good if that's the case, I just don't know how many DW owners are gonna spring for spending that kinda of money on a aftermarket PPC. Yeah, original sky is the limit, but I don't have the DW name! Anyway, we'll have to find out soon, I think what I'm going to do is get a few one things done on the PPC's then take preorders for them since with the cost of the sight I can't easily swing stocking much of them...
Alor, that's a good thought! The "EPC's" were actually born out of the PPC's by mistake. When I drilled the holes for the barrels, the location I drilled them at was such as with a standard shroud the top of the shroud would be flush with the top of the frame. Found out that doesn't work with the Aristocrat sight rib, the shroud has to be a bit above the frame in order for the sight to clear the frame when mounted.
LB, Haha, very true, a little less work with the Stainless ones! Very busy as it stands now, contract machining work (non-gun related) has really picked up and is backing up. So trying to catch up there and still work on the DW stuff! Which means, I better stop rattling on here and try to get some work done.
Thanks again!

Has anyone thought this besides me? I realise you can't put DW on your shrouds and some guys would not like EWK on them, But If you left off the caliber, the same shroud will be appropriate on all calibers of the same frame size. This may be bad for marketing on total sales but may increase the usefulness to anyone not wanting to shoot a miss labeled shroud. Just something to think about. For my self I would be proud to have EWK arms on a shroud.

Well I have ordered mine... I am considering having the name put on it anyway. I would love to have it ( just the name) powder coated in RED. But my powder coater would want to tank the whole shroud .. so I am not sure how to have both ( powder coat and blue). There are some other backroom ceracote guys playing around maybe I can get one of them to do something.. but I don't know they coated a charter arms in purple!

The shrouds look great.
As far as EWK Arms on the shrouds:
There is always the summit racing trick. 2 identical items but 1 with a logo is a few dollars less money. People that don't want the name will spend a bit more and the people that it doesn't matter to will give you some free advertisement.
Just my $0.02.

Wow, good thoughts on the EWK logo! Really appreciate it that it wouldn't be an issue there. Maybe we could place it on the end of the shroud where it mounts against the frame. That's fascinating on the Summit racing deal! I don't know about shoot's request...better come up with a per word charge...now wouldn't that be lucrative??!!
Yes, will be making more of them, along with as Jody mentioned, others! Sorry Doc and Art that you missed out on this batch! Ordered a ton of stuff today so that will help out with things!!!

I am tickled that the barrels are a one in twelve twist instead of the one in 16 twist and was glad I could pick up a couple to replace some worn barrels. One in twelve just makes a lot more sense with heavier bullets. I am also tickled that the barrels and shrouds are so reasonably priced. I am not particularly interested in the heavy slab side version though it is sort of interesting, but I cant wait till a more standard profile shroud and barrel combo is offered in some ten inch plus sizes for the 15-2. I have always wanted one of those extra long barrels to play around with but could never justify paying the exorbitant price such barrels and shrouds normally command. I suspect EWK will be able to sell almost anything he produces very quickly for quite a while with such reasonable pricing.

Trust me... even on a 6" those 1:12 are awesome... which is why I wanted EWK to make sure he mentioned it to prospective buyers..... this aint your daddies DW.

Still working out the bugs, but I think these turned out pretty nice! The pictures don't show the detail that well, (okay the dust shows up good!) but the "shiny" part shroud isn't quite that very shiny DW finish...need to order more buffing supplies...the "matte" part of the shrouds isn't quite like the original DW finish either...need to order more bead blasting supplies...and very limited number of these right now...need to order more tooling I broke...
Eric
Eric - nice job on the shrouds, they look great. Try a #80 - #120 aluminum oxide media on the matte surfaces. On the polished flats, I think you'll need to get to at least a #600 grit finish, probably closer to #800 equivalent to get the polish look of the factory finish.

An idea for a PPC shroud is a slab shroud with a aristocrat ramp that is slightly elevated so the stock rear sight can remain in place.
A 4-in-1 PPC revolver would be very neat!
I was going to say the exact same thing. I have been wanting a PPC style revolver for a long time but paying that much for a custom job that I can only use for targets and/or can't reliably shoot heavy loads (due to frame modification for the sight rib) is a bummer. I've been hoping for a while somebody would come along and make some PPC style shrouds for the Dans, and if there is a way I can easily swap out the PPC shroud with rib for a scoped or snub nose shroud/barrel that would just be perfect.

Whelp......lets see....
That looks like something you would see Schwarzenegger pointing at you as he walks out of an exploding building!!!
Simply awsome EWK!!!
1) my wife is gonna want a 6" or 8" AND a 2.5"
2) When I find another 744 for myself I'm going to want a couple
3) When I see my dealer/smith this afternoon I'm gonna tell him he needs to check your sight and that he should refer DW owners to you for aftermarket stuff.
