The EWK are virtually identically to to CZ or Monson. Palmer are sometimes more polished and sometimes less. IMHO. It is more about resell value and collectability. Monson are considered important if you have a Monson frame. The value of a firearm is greatest if it is original, as it came from the factory. Box and papers are a plus. Of course condition is also important. They all work the same and if it is a shooter it is not very important. EWK are well made but not of as great resell value as they are not OEM. With that being said, EWK slabside shrouds are highly regarded and the RH shroud serves a purpose. Many folks customize a gun. Dan Wesson grips negated the need to customize a gun to fit different hand sizes and tastes. Ditto barrel lengths. As far as coatings, the only time to coat a gun is if it is so far gone it can't be reblue or you want nickel. Even then it won't return the investment in added value. Everything I said is just my opinion. You know they are like A - holes. Everyone has one and they are all sh*tty.

The accuracy of the new DW/CZ barrels has been VERY VERY good. However I'm getting some decent forcing cone erosion on my 8" 357 SS barrel that I bought last year. Bob at DW told me he thinks its due to the change/quality in the steel as of late? He told me to let him know how it holds up.
I've got probably 1500ish rounds through it?
