Have you checked with CZ/DW? They used to sell fiber optic sights

I also badly need a front sight for my 7445 8". the current one is like there is a building in the way. thinking of a target type that will still fit into holster.
i saw the one listed on CZ site, anyone know the width of it?
the one on 'er now is .122" wide.
is the mounting of DW front sights unique? could i use something made for a S&W or ruger or something?

DW sights are unique to Dan's. An allen screw in the muzzle lets you change them. Our member Geminiman2 makes custom sights, check this thread.

Also DW sell several sizes check out the price list under the FAQ's on the right of the screen. Also I believe Millet makes a few. Good luck.

I have one of the DW FO front sights, works OK, nowhere near as good as the HiViz on my Buckmark, too much of DW's fiber optic element covered up to work well. Also. red is not my favorite
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Good morning
And you can take one of those Red Insert sights ( We all seem to have 23 of them) and do a little Dremel work on the top (Cut a groove & remove the red insert) and expoxy a optical insert in the groove. You can also taper the top before grooving to get a nice slimmer sight. Takes me about 2 hours to do one as I have just hand tools. BUT it works.
I prefer the green inserts for fall & winter hunting. Never had any trouble seeing the GREEN GLOW on a patch of fur. I also get the thinnest insert available. Evil Bay sellers have packets available.
