Well, I just got back from the indoor range Where I wanted to test a few things:
- The LB "drool special" grip
- The EWK FO sight
- My newly acquired 715
Considering how badly I wanted this grip, it sure has taken a long while for me get out and shoot it. Firstly, its the best ever grip I have ever used to "tea-cup" which is by far the hold I am most comfortable with. I still suck at semi-quick DA, but practice may improve that a good bit. Finally the two-hand ( push-pull) with me working the hammer with the left hand was much improved. All in all it was an extremely positive experience. However there were one/two downsides to using this in competition: the "wing" on the left side prevents up to three shells from ejection, and that same interference also makes using the speedloader more problematic. I haven't decided what if anything should be done. I am very happy with this grip, and competition, wasn't as much fun as I had hoped. So maybe I will just spend a few years getting good with what I have.
The indoor range I have access to, is to say the least not well lit. Many locals will not shoot there at all.. it is just that poorly lit. So having an FO that brings what little light there is and gathers it up is a real treat. I used the green FO on both guns with a 6VH. For these older eyes it was a "brilliant" aid.
I wanted to make sure that the 715 I bought was really capable of shooting, though I suspected it was. I was not disappointed. The gun was unfailing and smooth and crisp just as a DW 15 should be. If I do decide to sell someone will be getting a great little shooter grade gun in durable SS.
Well now off to clean the two guns!

I have yet to try a FO sight on anything, but I can sure see how it would help in low light situations. Good range report, you've got me sold on a FO sight.
As far as that grip goes...it's just plain cool, no matter if it's not speed loader friendly.

Not sure what your wanting pics of.. but heres a few for good measure:
The gun in back was what I was shooting with the green FO. The one in front has the red FO.
Range report was on these two. BTW I forgot to mention I was shooting the EWK 1/12 6" barrelx to boot. If I don't hit what I am aiming at... it aint for lack of excellent tools.
